ILOILO City – In Barangay Bolilao, Mandurriao district, a 30-year-old resident was arrested for stabbing his sister’s live-in partner.
Jessica Didal heard her live-in partner Rumabelle Panu saying, “Ngaa bun-on mo gid ko ya Chard haw (Why do you have to stab me Chard)?” a police report showed.
To her surprise, Didal saw her brother Richard Flora repeatedly stabbing Panu with a kitchen knife, police said.
Panu sustained multiple stab wounds on the body. He was taken to Western Visayas Medical Center in the district after the incident around 6:40 p.m. on Aug. 21.
Flora was arrested and detained at the district police station around 8:32 p.m. Didal claimed that her brother had a mental illness and forgot to take his medication, the police report showed./PN
