ILOILO City – Police arrested a fish vendor for stabbing a man in Barangay Maliog-liog, Concepcion, Iloilo.
He was Fritz Remorta of Carles, Iloilo, a police report showed.
Police identified the victim as a certain “Jackal” of Negros Occidental.
According to the police, Remorta stabbed Jackal using a kitchen knife inside the house of barangay councilman Roland Gabayeron around 9 p.m. on July 28.
Jackal sustained a stab wound on the chest and died, the report added.
It was not immediately established what was the motive in the incident.
Remorta tried to escape but failed after police officers caught him.
He was detained in the lockup facility of the Concepcion municipal police station, facing charges./PN
