ILOILO City – An owner of a secondhand-goods store at the Business Park in Barangay 5, San Jose, Antique reported to the police that she lost around P65,000 worth of cash and valuables.
The 55-year-old Flordeliza Diano of Barangay San Angel in the capital town believed they were stolen.
Diano found the items – contained in a black sling bag placed under a table – missing at around 11:30 a.m. on Jan. 8 when she returned to her store after buying viand, a police report showed.
The missing items, Diano said, included, among others:
* a bundle of cash worth more or less P40,000
* a red coin purse with more or less P6,020 cash
* a brown wallet with more or less P500 cash
* a pair of Ray Ban sunglasses worth around P15,000
* dollar and yen currencies worth around P3,500
* three Samsung cellphones
* Philippine National Bank and One Network Bank checkbooks and automated teller machine cards
* Social Security System and PhilHealth identification cards
* a Swiss knife
Police were still trying to identify who may have stolen the items as of this writing./PN
