ROXAS City – This city is one of the recipients of the Super Health Center Project of the Department of Health (DOH).
Sen. Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go brought the good news during his recent visit to Capiz province. He led the groundbreaking of Super Health Centers in the towns of Panay and Panit-an.
Other towns to get Super Health Centers are President Roxas, Jamindan, Mambusao, Pilar and Sigma.
Mayor Ronnie Dadivas said the facility would be a great help in boosting the city’s delivery of health services.
With City Health Officer Dr. Lory Cahilog and City Engineer Antonio Amoroso, Dadivas visited barangays Loctugan and Lanot on Tuesday, April 18, to check which would be the ideal location for the said health facility.
Among the basic health services to be offered by the facility are database management, outpatient care, birthing, isolation, diagnostic (laboratories: x-ray and ultrasound), pharmacy and ambulatory surgical unit.
It will also include services such as eye, ear, nose, and throat (EENT) services; oncology centers; physical therapy and rehabilitation center; and telemedicine.
Go, who chairs the Senate Committee on Health and Demography, has been pushing for more hospitals and health centers in the country./PN
