ILOILO City – Police arrested a man tagged in a stabbing incident in Barangay Buhang, Jaro district.
He was 35-year-old Larry Bautista of Sigma, Capiz, a police report showed.
Bautista was accused of stabbing 29-year-old Julie Chavez of Buenavista, Guimaras, it added.
According to police investigators, Bautista and Chavez were having a drinking session on
Nov. 19 when a heated argument ensued between them. This prompted Bautista to stab Chavez on the neck and back portion of his body. It was not immediately established what triggered the altercation.
Chavez was brought to the Western Visayas Medical Center for treatment.
Bautista, meanwhile, was detained and charged in the lockup cell of the Jaro police station./PN
