ILOILO City – Antinarcotics police and state agents caught a drug pushing suspect at an entertainment complex in Mandurriao district.
Undercover operatives tried to transact with Aniceto Nombreda in Barangay San Jose, Arevalo but failed.
They proceeded to Smallville, where the suspect sold to them a sachet of suspected shabu for P1,200, police said.
Three more sachets of the substance were recovered from the right front pocket of the suspect’s trousers during a search.
Nombreda, a 35-year-old resident of Barangay Santo Domingo, Arevalo, was detained at the Arevalo police station.
The suspect is facing charges for violation of sections 5 (sale) and 11 (possession) of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
He allegedly gets his drug supply from Barangay Bakhaw, Mandurriao, said Senior Inspector Jose Val Ladublan, Arevalo police chief.
Operatives from Arevalo police station, Regional Drug Enforcement Unit and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Region 6 conducted the operation on Sept. 13./PN
