CAPIZ – The Pontevedra, Capiz police station has two suspects in the fatal shooting of the town’s Liga ng mga Barangay president, Frederick Dullano.
Police Major Cyril Punzalan, the police station chief, said the suspects were identified by eyewitnesses and through a review of a security camera near the scene of the crime.
He, however, declined to publicly name the suspects who are at large so as not to jeopardize ongoing police operations.
Belongings of the suspects inadvertently dropped near the crime scene were also a big help in their identification, Punzalan added.
Dullano was gunned down by riding-in-tandem suspects late afternoon on July 7 in crossing Isagani-Rizal, Pontevedra outside his house.
The police is filing a murder charge, said Punzalan, while the manhunt and search for additional evidences continue./PN
