ILOILO City – Along Sen. Benigno Aquino Jr. Avenue (Diversion Road) in Barangay Bolilao, Mandurriao district, a sport utility vehicle (SUV) crashed, a police report showed.

A motorcycle crossed him at around 6:30 a.m. on March 1, the 31-year-old SUV driver Rey Alomia of Pavia, Iloilo told the police.

Alomia said he swerved his Chevrolet SUV (plate number 060110) to avoid impact but he lost control of the vehicle, causing it to hit a center island and a steel barrier.

The SUV then turned turtle and hit a steel post, the police report stated.

Alomia sustained abrasions and complained of body pains.

His SUV incurred damage of a still undetermined cost. It has been sent to a shop for repair, police said./PN
