BACOLOD City – Three persons were killed and two others were wounded in a road crash in Barangay Bubog, Talisay City, Negros Occidental.
Police identified the fatalities as 57-year-old Celsa Marabulas, 24-year-old Jason Mendoza and 37-year-old Archie Castillio.
Wounded were 36-year-old Rollin Diasanta and 23-year-old Rutchil Marabaulas, a police report showed.
According to police investigators, a vehicle driven by 28-year-old Feb Dharel Medina crashed against a pedicab driven by Castillio with Marabaulas and Diasanta as passengers around 4 a.m. on Sept. 24.
It also hit another pedicab driven by Marabulas with Mendoza as passenger, police said.
Castillio, Marabulas and Mendoza died on the spot, the police added.
Medina, meanwhile, was detained in the lockup cell of the Talisay City police station, facing charges./PN
