ILOILO City – A barangay tanod complained to the police that someone tried to harm him.
According to Rey Dunyn Batiduan, 34, around 12:30 a.m. on Thursday at a waiting shed in Mandurriao district, someone from behind tried to cover his mouth, strangled him and tried to put a blindfold on him.
He struggled to free himself from whoever it was then the stranger ran away, Batiduan said.
The barangay tanod believed the stranger intended to kill him but he did not tell the police why.
Batiduan also said he failed to take a good look at the fleeing man because it was dark./PN
