Tay Tung rules Milo Little Olympics Visayas athletics

MANILA – Bacolod Tay Tung High School dominated the 31st Milo Little Olympics Visayas Regional Finals athletics competition at the Cebu City Sports Center Stadium.

Tay Tung clinched the overall championship in elementary girls with Shalthea Delotavo being hailed as Most Valuable Player for taking home four gold medals and one silver medal.

The Bacolod City native captured the two individual gold medals in 100m dash and 200m dash and her lone silver medal in 400m dash.

Her two other gold medals were won with Jade Polite Cordova, April Anne Dealagdon and Ana Francessca Hermosura in the 4x100m and 4x400m relays.

Cordova also had another gold medal in 100m hurdles and a bronze in 400m hurdles while Dealagdon had two bronze medals in 800m dash and 1500m dash. Hermosura also had bronzes in 100m dash and 200m dash.

Antonette Jay Aguillon, meanwhile, showed her wares in secondary girls with individual gold medals in 100m dash and 200m dash. She also had a bronze medal in the triple jump event.

Aguillon had a gold medal in 4x100m relay with younger sister Krisha Dedoyco Aguillon, Ara Rahbea Delotavo and Stephany Ray Malate.

In addition, Krisha won a gold medal in 400m dash and silver medals in 100m dash and 200m dash, while Delotavo got a gold in 100m hurdles and a silver medal in 400m hurdles.

Tay Tung finished seventh overall in the elementary division with 51 points and sixth in the secondary division with 65 points./PN
