MANILA – The AMA Online University Titans are reportedly facing a dilemma on who to choose between Jeron Teng and Davon Potts as its top-overall pick in the 2016 PBA D-League Rookie Draft today at the PBA Café in Metrowalk, Pasig.
While reports are surfacing that AMA is sure to pick Teng as the top overall draftee, sources from the Titans’ camp said that they are also looking on Potts as its rookie addition to the team.
Set to pick next after the Titans are the Tanduay Rhum Masters, followed by Racal Motors-Arellano University Chiefs, Café France Bakers-Centro Escolar University, and Wang’s Basketball Couriers.
Newcomers Cignal HD-San Beda Red Lions, Jose Rizal University, Victoria Sports-Manuel L. Quezon University and the Province of Batangas will have their orders determined on draft day.
Meanwhile, Blustar Detergent-Malaysian Dragons will be ineligible to pick in the draft proceedings as they are serving as a guest team in the competition.
Also part of the 128 applicants on the draft list are Thomas Torres, Jason Brickman, Robbie Herndon, Andreas Cahilig, Monbert Arong, Robert Bolick, Jomari Sollano, and Mark Tallo.
The PBA has required all players who are hoping to play in the professional ranks to suit up for at least a season in the PBA D-League. The new PBA D-League season will open on Jan.19./PN
