ROXAS City – Two houses were completely destroyed and another one was partially damaged after they caught fire on Tuesday, July 16, in Barangay Poblacion Norte, Sigma, Capiz.
The destroyed houses were owned by Diose Natal Jr. and Edwardo Azarcon Jr. while the other one was owned by Lourdes Azarcon.
Senior Fire Officer4 Rayman Vela, fire marshal of the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) – Sigma, said the fire started at around 12:31 a.m. and it quickly spread due to the strong winds and since the houses were made of light and mixed materials.
A “fire out” was declared around 3:10 a.m., Vela said.
BFP-Sigma was still investigating the cause and origin of the fire as of this writing./PN
