Today marks the ninth year after Super Typhoon “Yolanda” wreaked havoc in the Philippines and left more than 6,000 people dead and billions of pesos of damage in agriculture and infrastructure. Western Visayas was one of the hardest-hit regions. To recall, it was Nov. 8, 2013 when “Yolanda” battered the country; it struck Iloilo and even made its fifth landfall in the northern part of the province.
