BACOLOD City – Police caught three persons engaging in illegal gambling in Barangay Lag-asan, Bago City, Negros Occidental.
They were residents Rodly Soledad, 48; Roldan Flores, 38; and Maj Borja, 26, a police report showed.
Police chanced upon the suspects playing tong-its around 4:35 p.m. on Aug. 3.
Recovered from their possession were a deck of playing cards and P650 bet money.
Detained in the lockup cell of the Bago City police station, the suspects face charges for violation of Presidential Decree 1602, which prescribes stiffer penalties on illegal gambling./PN
