Traffic enforcer gunned down

BACOLOD City – Two unidentified motorcycle-riding gunmen peppered a traffic enforcer with bullets in Barangay Paitan, Escalante City, Negros Occidental.

The 45-year-old Julieto Morales died, according to Police Major Gil John Despi, Escalante City police chief.

The motorcycle-driving Morales was bound for the city when attacked. The gunmen fired at him several times around 6:30 a.m. on Oct. 20.

Morales died instantly.

The gunmen sped away to an unknown direction.

Recovered from the crime scene were several spent bullets of an M16 armalite rifle and a .45-caliber gun. 

As of this writing, the Escalante City police was yet to identify the gunmen or ascertain their motive./PN
