BACOLOD City – Two passengers of a tricycle that crashed against a Ceres bus on Sept. 24 in Barangay Manalad, Ilog, Negros Occidental died yesterday, police said.
Chief Inspector Nerito Lobrido, Ilog police chief, identified them as 37-year-old Jay Estosa and Alano Matunding, 38. Both were residents of Barangay Camugao, Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental.
Estosa and Matunding were on board a tricycle driven by Francisco Tabucon, 45, when they hit a Ceres bus around 6:30 p.m., a police report showed.
They were rushed to the Lorenzo D. Zayco District Hospital in Kabankalan City.
Ceres bus driver Joeann Amante Doronila, 40, of La Carlota City, Negros Occidental, surrendered to the police.
The crash damaged the tricycle and the bus, police said./PN
