ILOILO City – A tricycle driver was stabbed in Barangay Sto. Niño Sur, Arevalo district.
The 31-year-old John Vic Pastrana of Barangay Sooc, Arevalo sustained a stab wound on the chest, a police report showed.
According to the police, Pastrana was driving his tricycle when another tricycle driven by 22-year-old Marvin Sapio blocked his way.
An altercation ensued between them that prompted Sapio to stab Pastrana around 2 p.m. on Saturday, the report added.
Pastrana was brought to the Western Visayas Medical Center in Mandurriao district for treatment.
It was not immediately established what caused the altercation.
Sapio, meanwhile, was detained in the Arevalo police station’s lockup facility./PN
