SAN JOSE, Antique – A road accident involving a delivery truck on Monday afternoon in Barangay Apdo, Hamtic, Antique, left four passengers injured.
The incident occurred around 4:23 p.m. when the truck, carrying a load of fruits, vegetables, and spices, veered off a cliff and fell approximately seven meters.
The victims, identified only by their aliases “CJ”, “JM”, “Monmon”, and “Lito”, were transported to the Angel Salazar Memorial General Hospital in San Jose, Antique.
According to Police Major Horizon Villanueva, chief of police at Hamtic municipal police station, the truck was en route from Iloilo to Sibalom.
The driver reportedly lost control, leading to the unfortunate plunge.
As of the latest reports, three of the injured have been discharged from the hospital, with only “Monmon” remaining for treatment due to serious injuries sustained in the crash./PN
