ILOILO – Four individuals were injured when a Canter truck of a catering service turned turtle in Barangay Cudionan, San Dionisio town around 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 3.
Truck passengers Ian Siton, 34, and Carmelo Vega, both residents of Barangay Tiring, Cabatuan town, sustained minor injuries.
Also injured were Joshua Villaraiz, 26, and May Joy Arandela, 27, of Barangay Balabag, Pavia.
Truck driver Marcelino Galicto, 48, and a resident of Jordan, Guimaras, was unscathed.
According to Police Lieutenant Soviet Torre, chief of the San Dionisio Municipal Police Station (MPS), the truck’s clutch malfunctioned and the driver lost control of the steering wheel.
Torre added that the victims were on their way to the town of Carles to provide catering services for an occasion.
The victims were taken to the Sara District Hospital and are now in stable condition.
The driver of the truck was in the custody of the San Dionisio MPS./PN
