TTMFs utilization rate in WV only 2.46%

ILOILO City – The utilization rate of the Temporary Treatment and Monitoring Facility (TTMF) / isolation / quarantine facilities in Western Visayas is at 2.46 percent.

According to Mariebe Adrias, Nurse V of the Department of Health (DOH) Region 6, of the total of 15,875 TTMF beds, 2.46 percent or 391 were occupied, as of Feb. 27.

Data also showed the number of families on TTMFs at 650.

Moreover, of the TTMF total beds, 4,078 were COVID-19 (coronavirus disease 2019) ward beds of which 71 were occupied while 11,797 were isolation beds of which 320 were occupied.

Adrias noted that more local government units in the region were adding TTMFs or isolation facilities. They have it certified by the DOH and accredited by Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) so confirmed cases that cannot go for home quarantine can be accommodated at the facilities.

She noted that this set-up has an impact in the region’s health care utilization rate (HCUR).

“Kon indi naton sila ma-admit sa hospital, padayon gid nga maganaog  ang aton HCUR kay makita naton gina-manage sila sang maayo sang aton mga local government units. Ang mga asymptomatic kag mga mild cases, pwede sa home, pwede man sa TTMs,” said Adrias./PN
