Two persons yield ‘shabu’ at checkpoint

BACOLOD City – Three sachets of suspected shabu valued at around P5,000 were seized from two men at a checkpoint in Barangay Patun-an, Calatrava, Negros Occidental.

Police identified them as 29-year-old Edilberto Carbajosa and 43-year-old Francisco Albarico – all residents of Barangay Lo-ok, Calatrava.

Carbajosa and Albarico were onboard a motorcycle when police flagged them in the morning of Feb. 21.

The suspects were detained in the lockup cell of the Calatrava municipal police station.

Charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 will be filed against them./PN
