MANILA – the University of Santo Tomas Golden Tigresses and De La Salle University Lady Spikers stayed undefeated in the UAAP Season 82 Women’s Beach Volleyball Tournament at Sands SM By The Bay in Pasay City.
Golden Tigresses’ Babylove Barbon and Gen Eslapor made a short work of Adamson University Lady Falcons’ Kring Uy and Chen Ave, 21-10, 21-9, to tally their fourth win this season.
The Lady Spikers of Ernestine Tiamzon and Justine Jazareno needed three sets to hand Far Eastern University Lady Tamaraws’ Sheena Gallentes and Sheila Mae Kiseo their first loss, 21-23, 21-10, 15-10, Saturday.
“We have the potential to go far in this tournament and I’m proud of my teammates kasi marami kaming pinaghirapan through training,” said Tiamzon.
Meanwhile, Ilongga Roma Mae Doromal and Pauline Gaston of Ateneo Lady Eagles swept National University Lady Bulldogs’ Andrea Abian and Chlea dela Fuente, 21-10, 21-8, to seize solo fourth place at 2-2.
University of the Philippines Lady Maroons finally entered the win column, as Roselyn Rosier and Euri Eslapor outlasted University of the East Lady Warriors’ Lyen Ritual and Juliet Catindig, 12-21, 21-18, 15-13.
The Lady Maroons tied their victims and the Lady Falcons from fifth to seventh places at 1-3, while the Lady Bulldogs remained winless in four contests./PN
