BACOLOD City – For owning an unlicensed gun, a man was arrested in Barangay Cabcab, Isabela, Negros Occidental.
The 43-year-old resident Joemarie Yanson was caught after the police raided his house on the strength of a search warrant around 7 a.m. on Jan. 24.
Upon his arrest, police recovered from Yanson a .45-caliber pistol with 36 live bullets and four empty magazines.
The weapon was confiscated after he failed to present its license.
The suspect was detained in the Isabela municipal police station’s lockup facility, facing charges for violation of Republic Act 10591, or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act./PN
