MANILA – An updated copy of President Rodrigo Duterte’s list of suspected narco-politicians was already with the Philippine National Police (PNP).
PNP chief Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa was coordinating with the Intelligence Group to verify the new names in the list.
“I will task the regional directors to conduct a validation and further investigation of the names therein,” Dela Rosa told a news conference in Ozamiz City yesterday.
After the verification, the PNP will inform those in the list to give them a chance to air their side and clear their names, Dela Rosa said.
“This is also what we have done before,” he said.
In a recent meeting with representatives of mining companies in Malacañang, Duterte presented the updated list but did not mention any name./PN
