USA College of Law beats nat’l average in 2025 Bar, produces 71 new lawyers

ILOILO — The College of Law of the University of San Agustin (USA-COL) outperformed the national passing rate in the 2025 Bar Examinations. Seventy-one of its graduates passed, posting an overall passing rate of 55.91 percent, higher than the national average of 48.98 percent.

The Supreme Court released the official Bar results on January 7, 2026, covering examinations held on September 7, 10, and 14, 2025.

USA-COL also recorded a strong showing among first-time takers, who logged a 64.29 percent passing rate, underscoring the school’s consistent performance in the highly competitive licensure examination for lawyers.

In a celebratory post on Facebook, the university congratulated its successful examinees, saying, “Congratulations to our 71 new Augustinian lawyers — your dedication, integrity, and hard work have earned you this honor.”

The university said the results reflect both the discipline of the bar candidates and the sustained mentoring provided by its faculty, adding that it remains committed to producing competent and ethical legal professionals grounded in Augustinian values.

An oath-taking ceremony for the successful examinees is scheduled on February 6.
