ILOILO City – She was crossing the road in Barangay San Rafael, Mandurriao district when a van hit her, police said.
The 35-year-old Rovie Alias of Barangay Pandac, Pavia, Iloilo sustained bruises on the body, a police report showed. She was recuperating at the at Iloilo Doctor’s Hospital.
Police investigators said a van driven by Exbert Lamparero of Cabatuan, Iloilo hit the victim while she was crossing a pedestrian lane around 1 p.m. on Thursday.
Lamparero was arrested and now detained in the lockup cell of the Mandurriao police station. Charges will be filed against him./PN
