BACOLOD City – The P2.2-billion 2018 budget proposal of this city was forwarded to the Office of the Vice Mayor for review.
Vice Mayor El Cid Familiaran will check the budget proposal before the Sangguniang Panlungsod (SP) refers it to its committee on appropriations.
Councilor Caesar Distrito, chairman of the SP committee on appropriations, said the Office of the Mayor has already checked the proposed annual budget.
Distrito expects Familiaran to submit the budget proposal to the SP next week. He said he wants the proposal be approved before December.
The 2018 proposed budget is higher by about P200,000 compared than last year’s budget.
But Distrito did not disclose what the additional budget will be for.
He only said the money will be sourced from the collection of real property taxes, which is alos expected to increase next year./PN
