MANILA – Peter Joemel Advincula in his affidavit said Vice President Leni Robredo and former Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV spearheaded the ouster plot against President Rodrigo Duterte.

Advincula’s affidavit, which became the source of Philippine National Police-Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (PNP-CIDG) sedition case against the opposition, said that Robredo will take over the presidency by June 30.

It added the ouster plot was named as “Project Sodoma,” hatched late last year in a bid to topple Duterte through “fake news” and create noise to prop up the campaign of “Otso Diretso” senatorial candidates.

“It was Sen. Antonio Trillanes’ way of getting back at Rodrigo Duterte and installing Robredo as president. Robredo was to choose Trillanes as her vice president,” Advincula said.

The “Project Sodoma” allegedly consisted of three parts: 1) a press conference where some priests accused the Duterte administration of sending them threatening text messages; 2) release of statement of former anti-drug police officer Eduardo Acierto linking Sen. “Bong” Go to former Malacañang adviser Michael Yang on illegal drug trade; and 3) the release of six-part “Ang Totoong Narcolist” video series.

Advincula said Jesuit priest and staunch anti-extrajudicial killings advocate Fr. Albert Alejo played a role in the plot and gave Advincula the name “Bikoy” and the one who introduced him to Trillanes.

He added he met Trillanes thrice inside the Ateneo de Manila University where the senator gave him the allegedly revised documents linking Duterte and Go in the illegal drug trade, paying him P500,000 cash.

Advincula claimed he met Sen. Risa Hontiveros twice, once with Robredo and “Otso Diretso” senatorial bets Chel Diokno, Gary Alejano, Florin Hilbay, Romulo Macalintal, Samira Gutoc, Erin Tañada, and Bam Aquino.

Following the defeat of the “Otso Diretso” bets, Advincula said he had lesser access to Trillanes and fewer security personnel guarding his condo unit.

Out of fear, Advincula said he reached out to his brother Joseph, who fetched him with several police officers on May 22, showing up at a press conference in Camp Crame the next day.

The PNP-CIDG filed the complaint before the Department of Justice on Thursday in connection with videos annotated by a certain “Bikoy,” who linked members of the Duterte family to illegal drugs.

Aside from Robredo, also named as respondents were Sen. Hontiveros and Leila de Lima, former senators Aquino and Trillanes, and other members of the “Otso Diretso” senatorial slate except Mar Roxas./PN
