BACOLOD City – Facing child abuse charges, an auto mechanic was arrested on Saturday in Barangay III, Hinigaran, Negros Occidental.
Joselito Laput, 57, was a resident of Barangay Balintawak, Escalante, Negros Occidental.
He was caught around 5:30 p.m. on Nov. 20 on the strength of an arrest warrant issued by Judge Rodney Magbanua of the Regional Trial Court, Branch 61.
Laput was detained at the Hinigaran municipal police station. An P80,000 bail bond was recommended for his temporary liberty./PN
