Western Visayas gymnasts shine in Bacolod rhythmic tilt

WESTERN Visayas-based gymnasts showed their might to rule the 2nd JGM-MK Rhythmic Gymnastics Invitational Championship at the Bacolod Tay Tung High School gym in Bacolod City.

Athea Descutido and Ella James of the Bacolod City-based MK Gymnastics displayed great routine to rule the seniors division Sunday. Marianne Alegado of Ritmik la Sugbo of Cebu finished third.

Leighann Jizmundo of the Aklan-based Coach Ara’s RG Club, meanwhile, ruled the Individual All-Around (IAA) category while Kryztahl Manalo of MK Gymnastics and Jilian de ka Cruz of Tay Tung placed second and third.

In the pre-Junior category IAA, Sofiia Bondar of Coach Ara’s RG Club finished on top followed by Chendy Moneth Bancale and Kyle Zhaine Casanillo, both from Zamboanga del Sur.

Kiana Marie Alagaban of MK Gymnastics settled for second place in Juniors IAA with Daniela dela Pisa and Kazheel Ona, both of Ritmik la Sugbo, placing first and third.

Tay Tung, meanwhile, finished on top of the Developmental category team event followed by Zamboanga del Sur and the Subic Dance and Gymnastics Club.

In the Juniors team category, Coach Ara’s RG Club finished on top followed by Zamboanga del Sur and Subic Dance and Gymnastics Club.

A total of 53 gymnasts from 10 clubs across the country joined the event./PN
