BACOLOD City – Police were still identifying the man who shot a suspected drug pusher on the national road in Barangay Poblacion, Zamboanguita, Negros Oriental.
The victim, who the police identified as the 30-year-old Alexis Trupa, was on the drug watch list of the Zambonguita police. He once surrendered during the police’s operation Tokhang.
From what the police gathered so far, Trupa was on board a motorcycle when the unidentified suspect fired at him around 6:10 p.m. on Thursday.
Trupa sustained gunshot wounds on the different parts of the body, police said.
Bystanders brought him to the Negros Oriental Provincial Hospital where attending physician Dr. Philmed Salindo declared him “dead on arrival.”
Zamboanguita police were still investigating./PN
