BACOLOD City – Police have yet to identify the suspects and the motive in shooting a man to death along the national highway in Barangay 1, San Carlos City, Negros Occidental.

Superintendent D’Artagnan Katalbas Jr., officer-in-charge of the San Carlos City police station, identified the man as the 28-year-old Junbert Calumba of San Juan Baybay Street, Barangay 6, San Carlos City.

According to the police, Calumba was walking on the road around 6 a.m. yesterday when riding-in-tandem suspects fired at him.

Calumba sustained gunshot wounds on the different parts of the body, police said. The suspects, on the other hand, fled after the shooting.

Recovered from the crime scene were three empty shells and four live bullets of a .45-caliber gun, police said.
