President Trump has stated that ‘Norway Sucks’ after he wasn’t awarded the Nobel Peace Prize, for a second time!
His grasp of the English language and its ability to express complex ideas seem to be at odds, given the ‘sucks’ lacks the grandeur a Presidential statement should carry.
There is also a lack of understanding that insulting someone that you want something from doesn’t increase the likelihood. Fortunately the committee is honest and will recommend the most deserving person. Donald Trump will be awarded his trophy shortly after ‘hell freezes over’, if not slightly later.
The FIFA peace prize doesn’t set a precedent.

The right to protest rightly
The protests in Paris, initially by students, appears to have been joined by more radical groups and the protests have become dangerous riots.
This pattern appears in a number of countries where a protest becomes a tool for extremist groups to use. In Australia a number of protests about the wars have been hijacked by far right activists.
In the US the January 6 riots were seen, by sensible observers, to be an attack on democracy by extremists as well.
In my experience of student protests and teacher union marches it was just us, the supporters of a single issue that marched. We were not joined by the extremes of the left or right.
It is, in many but certainly not all countries, an opportunity for the normal people to speak up when the ballot box is not available. We must protect our right to protest without hindrance, or being used by extremists, or we will lose our right to protest.
Fight for the right to fight for your worries.

Fake news or hopeful news
There have been rumours that Kim Jong Un, the Supreme Leader of North Korea, had died but unfortunately this was actually fake news. He and his daughter did a ‘proof of life’ visit to a shop.
Sometimes the rumours have a partial basis of truth, the Sussexs are wandering around as though they were royals and the important word here is ‘were’ and they were, quite a while ago, but now they are just commoners like me and most people.
Donald Trump has claimed the 2020 US election but that is fake news just like his full head of hair, in that some of the hair has thinned, a lot.
If our leaders and the news about them isn’t true what are we to believe, who to follow and what is in everyone’s best interests. I would like to drive to some hidden cabin and stay out of sight for a few years but I can’t afford the fuel./PN
