ILOILO – A marital dispute happened on New Year’s Day, January 1, after a man caught his wife and her alleged lover inside a lodging house in Calinog town.
According to Major Myles Dieron, chief of the Calinog Municipal Police Station, alias “Toto”, 30, followed his wife, alias “Inday”, 26, after she claimed she needed to run an errand.
The married couple with children had reportedly been experiencing issues, with Toto growing suspicious due to his wife’s behavior and frequent use of her cell phone, said Dieron.
The husband saw her wife entering a lodging house with another man and he immediately reported the matter to the police at around 10 a.m., asking for assistance to confront the pair.
Dieron said police officers accompanied Toto to the lodging house, where they discovered his wife and her companion inside a room.
Further investigation revealed that the two had been in a relationship for some time.
Dieron however said that the husband opted not to file charges against his wife. Instead, the matter was resolved privately between the parties involved./PN
