ILOILO City – The Metropolitan Trial Court Branch 69 in Pasig City ordered the arrest of a woman from Antique province for violation of Batas Pambansa 22 (bouncing checks law).
Police caught the 35-year-old Maybelle Yee in Barangay Malandog, Hamtic, Antique.
Officers served Yee, who lives in the same village, an arrest warrant issued by Judge Christian Emmanuel Pimentel around 10:40 a.m. on Wednesday.
Yee was detained at the Hamtic police station.
She will be transferred to a detention facility in Pasig City within the week, police said./PN
