ILOILO City – Three firearms were recovered from a house in Barangay Tuburan, Pototan, Iloilo yesterday.
The 39-year-old house owner Simplicio Villanueva was arrested.
Police said Villanueva did not have a license to possess the following:
- two .38 revolvers
-
12-gauge shotgun
-
ammunition for a .38 revolver
Officers searched the house around 7:45 a.m. on the strength of a warrant issued by Judge Vicente Go of the Regional Trial Court Branch 68.
Villanueva was detained at the Pototan police station.
He was facing charges for violation of the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act, police said./PN
