BACOLOD City – A woman was sentenced to life imprisonment in Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental. She violated Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Judge Crescencio Tan of the Regional Trial Court Branch 34 in Dumaguete City meted out the punishment to Martfe Sanon on Nov. 23, a police report showed.

On that day, the court also sentenced Rogen Indoso to a 14-year detention for the same offense at the Provincial Hall of Justice in Dumaguete City./PN
