ILOILO City – A woman was shot to death inside her house in Barangay Tubang, Maasin, Iloilo yesterday.
The 44-year-old Girlie Enriquez sustained multiple gunshot wounds to the foot and stomach, police said.
The incident happened around 2:50 a.m.
According to Police Master Sergeant Andres Perez, case investigator, the victim was sleeping when attacked by an unidentified gunman.
The victim was rushed to the Ramon Tabiana Memorial District Hospital in Cabatuan, Iloilo where she expired.
Recovered from the crime scene were six empty shells of a .9mm-caliber pistol.
As this was being written, police have yet to identify the suspect and the motive in the killing./PN
