ILOILO City – In Barangay Don Esteban, Lapuz district, two people were arrested in an antidrug operation.
La Paz police caught the 30-year-old resident Shella Mayang and Ronilo Bajon, 34, of Barangay North Baluarte, Molo.
Mayang sold a sachet of shabu to an undercover officer for P1,000 at 7:15 p.m. Wednesday, a police report showed.
Four more sachets of the same substance were seized from her, police said.
Mayang tagged Bajon as her “supplier” but the latter denied this, saying he visits the former only to take the drug.
Operatives from La Paz police station and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency staged the buy-bust.
They also found 10 empty plastic packs with shabu residue – suggesting that the suspects have used the substance.
Police estimated the street value of all the substance at P6,000.
An improvised test tube tooter, three lighters and a bamboo stick were further seized from the suspects.
Detained at the La Paz police station, they face charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
