Women nabbed in NegOcc drug busts

BACOLOD City – Three women were arrested in separate drug buy-bust operations in Negros Occidental, police reports showed.

The first one was the 33-year-old Anamay Loro of Barangay Aguisan, Himamaylan City, Negros Occidental.

Police said Loro, a newly identified drug suspect, sold to an undercover officer a sachet of suspected shabu for P500 around 3:30 p.m. on Friday in Purok 8, Barangay Aguisan.

Loro tried to evade arrest but failed. She was caught in her residence by joint elements of the Himamaylan City police station, the Philippine Army and the Negros Occidental’s 2nd Provincial Mobile Company.

Aside from the suspected shabu, drug paraphernalia were also recovered from Loro.

In La Carlota City, Negros Occidental, drug surrenderee and Barangay 2 resident Sheila “Tomboy” Doloso was arrested after also selling suspected shabu to an undercover officer.

Doloso was caught around 10:58 p.m. on Friday along Rainbow Street in Canson Subdivision, Barangay 2.

Recovered from Doloso’s possession were two sachets of suspected shabu worth some P3,000, the P500 marked money and drug paraphernalia.

Another woman was arrested in a sting operation in Barangay Sum-ag, Bacolod City on Wednesday.

The 23-year-old resident Ana Jane Sibonga was caught after selling suspected shabu to an undercover officer for P300.

Confiscated from Sibonga were three sachets of suspected shabu, police said.

Loro, Doloso and Sibonga were detained and facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
