ILOILO City – The police in Tapaz, Capiz arrested a 53-year-old farmer, previously ranked as the 10th most wanted in Western Visayas.
The suspect, known by the alias “Tonio”, was arrested at 8:05 p.m. on April 11, based on a warrant for two counts of qualified rape.
The arrest was a collaborative effort between the Tapaz municipal police station and the Provincial Intelligence Unit of the Capiz Police Provincial Office.
The arrest warrant was issued the same day by Judge Rommel Lacson Leonor of the Regional Trial Court in Mambusao, Capiz.
No bail was recommended for the suspect’s temporary freedom./PN
