ROXAS City – After two months of surveillance, police arrested a suspected drug dealer in Barangay Poblacion Ilaya, Dumalag, Capiz.
The 18-year-old Christaniel Modelo allegedly operated not only in Dumalag but also in Tapaz, police said.
Modelo was a “newly identified” drug personality, according to Senior Inspector Shiela Albances, Dumalag police chief.
Operatives from Dumalag and Tapaz police stations staged the operation at around 10 o’clock on Wednesday night.
Modelo was not among those who surrendered as part of Oplan Double Barrel.
His name and alleged area of operation surfaced just recently on a list of drug personalities from the Barangay Anti-Drug Abuse Council in Poblacion Ilaya, Dumalag, said Albances.
Police Officer 1 Jurene Gagola of Dumalag police station conducted the test buy on the suspect.
Officers seized from Modelo three sachets of suspected shabu and the P500 marked money.
The suspect was detained at the Dumalag police station.
Charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 may be filed against him./PN
