BACOLOD City – The electricity rate for September is P10.01 per kilowatt-hour (kWh), according to the Central Negros Electric Cooperative (Ceneco).

This is slightly higher than last month’s P9.67 per kWh, said Ceneco president Roy Cordova.

Power consumption of residential consumers was the reason behind the 34-centavo increase, added Cordova.

Meanwhile, Ceneco is inviting the public to the pre-bidding conference for its P63-million substation at the Reclamation Area in Barangay 8.

Cordova said this is part of Ceneco’s transparency practice.

Under the revised procurement guidelines and bidding procedures for electric cooperatives based on the National Electrification Administration Reform Act of 2013, biddings must be conducted for procurements worth P2 million and above./PN
