BACOLOD City – In the Negros Occidental District Jail, a riot turned fatal for an inmate.
Nolan Baldomar, 34, of Barangay Mansilingan, sustained injuries all over his body after fellow detainees mauled him, a police report showed.
Baldomar was rushed to the Bago City hospital where he was pronounced “dead on arrival.”
Baldomar was one of the detainees transferred from Metro Bacolod District Jail-Special Intensive Care Area on Monday after a greyhound operation conducted by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency, the Bacolod City Police Office, the Philippine Coast Guard, and the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology./ PN
