15 WV-based volleybelles rostered in PVL Invitational

MANILA – Fifteen Western Visayas-based volleyball players are set to suit up in the 2022 Premier Volleyball League (PVL) Invitational which will begin on July 9 at San Juan Arena.

PLDT High Speed Hitters has three in middle blocker Dell Juanico Palomata (Aklan), opposite hitter Christine Joy Soyud (La Carlota, Negros Occidental) and outside hitter Fiola Ceballos (Bingawan, Iloilo).

Black Mamba-Army Lady Troopers also has three players from Region 6 in Ilonggas Jeannie Delos Reyes and Nerissa Bautista and returning Guimarasnon Jovelyn Gonzaga.

Chery Tiggo Crossovers has two rostered in libero Ria Duremdes (Iloilo City) and opposite hitters Ma Shaya Adorador (Leon, Iloilo). 

Petro Gazz Angels likewise has two players who traced their roots from the region in outside hitter Aiza Maizo-Pontillas (Passi City, Iloilo) and opposite hitter Jonah Sabete  (Escalante City, Negros Occidental).

Choco Mucho Flying Titans, for its part, also has two Region 6 players in its roster in Ilongga middle blockers Shannen Palec and Aduke Ogunsanya.

Cignal HD Spikers also has two in former Central Philippine University Golden Lions standout Glaudine Trongcoso of Iloilo City and Bacolodnon setter Maria Arielle Estrañero.

PVL Open Conference champions Creamline Cool Smashers has one in its lineup in Bacolodnon outside hitter Fille Cainglet-Cayetano.

F2 Logistics Cargo Movers and Bali Pure Purest Water Defenders, on the other hand, opted to take a leave this Invitational and might return in the season-ending Reinforced Conference.

PVL Invitational action resumes on July 9 with the HD Spikers facing Lady Troopers at 2:30 p.m. while Crossovers battling Flying Titans at 5:30 p.m./PN
