ILOILO City – Two brothers from Barangay Osmeña, City Proper told the police a group of more or less 10 people threw stones at their house and punched them.

The stone-pelting happened around 1:30 a.m. yesterday, a police report showed.

Christopher Gonce, 20, went outside to confront the culprits only to get punched on the face and struck by a hard object on the head.

The 27-year-old Jerson came to his brother’s rescue but got punched, too, police said.

Gonce was wounded on the head and complained of body pains while Jerson sustained swollen face and lips.

Both were given first-aid treatment before they were referred to the West Visayas State University Medical Center.

The victims claimed they did not know their attackers.

Responding barangay tanods identified two of the suspects only as “Nonoy Arellano” and “Toto,” both residents of Barangay Rima-Rizal, City Proper.

Police were letting the barangay lupon handle the case./PN
