BACOLOD City – Two people from Silay and Kabankalan cities ended their lives.
Joemar Gamboa Roldan, 29, a resident of Sitio Takas, Purok Mambag-id, Barangay Balaring, Silay City, was found hanging inside his bedroom around 7 p.m. on Sunday.
He used a curtain to hang himself, his 21-year-old wife said.
Meanwhile, on Dec. 30, a 37-year-old woman also hanged herself inside their house in Purok 6, Barangay Bantayan, Kabankalan City.
Remilda Demigilio Demisana, 37, committed suicide due to health problems and poverty, investigation showed.
The victim’s husband disclosed that Demisana was diagnosed with a kidney problem in May last year. She was advised to undergo operation but did not push through because of financial constraints.
Demisana’s parents believe that there was no foul play in her death./PN
