ILOILO City – For alleged illegal fishing, two men were caught in Barangay Mangalabang, Concepcion, Iloilo.
They were Jade Desutido and Cornelio Villarin, both residents of the town, police said.
Personnel of the local Bantay Dagat chanced upon them fishing illegally off the waters of Barangay Mangalabang Monday night.
Recovered from their possession were two sets of generator and fishing paraphernalia.
The two were brought to the Concepcion police station, facing charges for violation of Municipal Ordinance No. 1 Series of 2008 that outlaws fishing without permit./PN
