ILOILO City – Charged with statutory rape, a resident of Barangay Alameda, Igbaras, Iloilo was arrested.
Policemen of Igbaras served 56-year-old Benjamin Egalam a warrant of arrest yesterday around 11:30 a.m. and took him to the municipal police station.
Egalam was accused of raping a minor in Barangay Lutungan, Igbaras.
Judge Nelita Jesusa Bacaling of the Regional Trial Court Branch 67 issued the warrant.
She recommended a P200,000 bail bond for Egalam’s temporary liberty./PN
